FIRE EXTINGUISHER REFILLING
Refilling of fire extinguishers can be
pricey and labour intensive unless you use a company
that is fast, efficient and conscious of cost.
Our visiting fees to any premises in the south east, including London, are
just £30.00 .
The inspection fee per fire extinguisher is £5.00 plus parts.
Every time
we service a fire extinguisher we change the safety tie
costing £1.65. Pins cost around £2.65, and test gauges occasionally
need replacement.
All new fire extinguishers have to be commissioned according to the
British Standard requirement BS 5306-3.
Fire extinguisher commissioning for new and replacement units is included in our fire extinguisher
delivery fees.
During an inspection we

who must pass an examination before being approved.)
This is
only a general guide as each type of extinguisher needs different tests.
An average 23 jobs are completed at an
inspection.

Please note. The following rule applies to any
fire extinguisher that we replace. This charge is
unfortunately beyond our control.
As redundant fire extinguishers are
classed as hazardous waste they must be correctly
disposed of, which incurs a fee by the local authority.
Disposal of old
extinguishers £5.00 each.
The yellow portion, which is Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset and South London, is the area that we cover from our head office.
The green portion is
the rest of England, Wales and Scotland, where we
have agents who carry out servicing and commissioning on
our behalf.

OUR FIRE EXTINGUISHER SERVICING POLICY
All servicing of fire extinguishers is carried out to
BS 5306-3
requirements.
Replacement extinguishers are approved to BS EN3 /
Kite marked
& FIA approved.
All replacement extinguishers conform to European colour coding requirements.
Appropriate label colour coding is used to help identify correct type
of fire.
All replacement extinguishers conform to European pressure equipment
standards & display appropriate “CE” markings
All extinguisher replacements recognized & approved by insurance
companies.
Kite marked extinguishers are independently tested & approved
by BSI who are an accredited third party organisation.
CE approval & marking is a legal requirement in all
European
countries.
When a fire extinguisher has exceeded its warranty period is is often more economical to replace it rather than refill and service it.
This is recommended, not only for reliability and safety,
but because a new fire extinguisher will have a five year
warranty.
New and replacement fire extinguishers have to be
commissioned according to British Standard BS 5306-3 by an
authorised technician.
Our commissioning fee is £5.00 per fire extinguisher.
